When the original version of "When a stranger calls",came out .....(about a million years ago),
my friend and i tried to sneak in to see it. Back then a lot of the movies had allocated seating so you needed a ticket with a seat number on it to get in.We walked up to the top of the stairs just as the usher had gone to direct someone to their seat so we just strolled in and found a seat. Aaaaalright , we were in!! The movie was about to start and suddenly we had a flashlight in our faces and the usher demanding to see our ticket. We knew we were busted but tried to stay cool about it.He had two paying customers with him demanding our seats."You're in the wrong seat " he said and asked us where we were supposed to be sitting."Oh somewhere up the back " we said, but when we looked up the back it was a full house ..no empty seats. He demanded to see our tickets and so my friend did the only logical thing...he ran for his life. Now this surprised me even more than the usher who then looked at me and asked where our tickets were.I said that my friend had the tickets and then ran out of there as fast as i could.Needless to say i never saw the movie, still havent to this day.Now that there's a sequel maybe i'll get round to seeing that version....Anyway see ya!

Its saturday night ,its 12.38am, its raining i should be sleeping but im not tired.Ive just watched a movie that i havent seen for years ..The Class Of 1984.i saw it when it came out on video and then after a few years the video disappeared from all the video stores and i hadnt seen it anywhere for years .until now.If you can ignore the bad early 80s haircuts and fashion its not too bad a movie. Most of the actors never went on to anything of note ,except for the films bad guy played by timothy van patten (who?) who now is a director(has directed multiple episodes of the soprano's and sex in the city).Am hoping to watch "dazed and confused" tomorrow if i can drag my lazy ass out of bed.See ya

When I was thirteen my friends and i pushed our way into the queue to see the first star wars movie. It was 1977 and back then people had to queue up for hours to see new releases. We were standing around trying to decide what to see when a gap appeared in the queue. No one seemed to notice so we just stepped into the gap.My cousin who was with us saw the film TWELVE more times after that. not me ,two more times was enough.
When i was fifteen my friend and i tried to get in to see Halloween, it was Rrated so you had to be 18 or over to see it. He was a lot bigger than me so he went to the counter to get the tickets but was refused because he had no i.d so we went down the road to another cinema to try and get in to see The Warriors..also R rated.I had gone to all the trouble to wear extra clothes to make me look bigger and thought if I walked up to the counter with a scowl on my face i'd look older for some reason....it didnt matter, the woman didnt even look at me or ask for id she just gave me the tickets and in we went. All that effort and worrying for nothing!
Will share some more memories next time
